ok so im aware this has been posted before ive dug through alot of the search results but i jsut cant seem to narrow my problem down, i dont have cash to go fixing maybes.

so heres my problem, every 2 minutes my 4hi 4 low flashes liek everyone elses, theres no noises or anyhting else going on other than flashing those lights and my 4x4 doesnt work. i turn the switch nothing whatsoever. no click no click nothing. i took my t case apart and other than the plastic on th ebackside being cracked where my dumbass friend put there smacking it with a hammer trying to make it work. would htis affect it? i didnt thin it would since it seems to just be a cover of some sort.
also ive checked the 20a fuse under the hood its good. im not real good with voltage meters and dont seem to fully understand testing my GEM module. but im willing to try.

also it has auto hubs, could the vaccume cause the 4hi 4low lights to flash liek this? if so would the howto on making your hubs locke din at all times help?

im starting to go crazy setting here in wv with all this snow and no 4x4 to get out

mine did the same thing. also when you let it sit over nite ,it stops flashing untill you turn the knob...

easy way to find out if its the motor, is loosen the 3 tamper proof torqs on the blue cover on the motor and turn it till it stops, then turn the knob. be shure the switch is in 2hi before doing this. if the motor turns when stoped and in nutral and the lights dont flash, you now know its the motor.

last dich, no money but a pain in the ass, remove the motor remove the blue cap and take out the large gear...
now you can use the gear to put it into 4hi and 4lo by hand. the slector shaft points to the gear its in. (now the bitch, you have to get under the truck to switch it every time.)

p.s. you posted this in the wrong forum

What Viper said.

It wouldn't hurt to take the motor out and clean it. It could be gunked up and not working properly.

The hubs, whether they engage or not, will not make the 4x4 lights flash, that I know of. If those aren't engaging, thats a different problem that needs attention.

check the Control Module, i know these go out on a lot of people. i would check it especially if you don't even here clicking coming from it.
