So I got home from work today and saw THIS posted 30minutes prior to me checking. Gave them a call and its some lady who is selling it because she bought it for her boyfriend, but in her name, now hes in jail and she is selling it. Forgot to get the VIN number, but I will get it before I head over there to test drive it. It has the spray in bedliner and that dent on the front fendor is the only dent, some scratches she said.

what do you guys think?

So I drove it home today, drives nice, I gotta get use to shifting again. It was missing the dome light cover and bulb. im sure i can get one at a junk yard hopefully. Definately going to give it an oil change, plug, cap, rotor, tranny fluid. I was thinking of just taking it into ford and having them do it since im working alot this coming week. I've heard of this cam synchro thing and I want them to check that out. How much in parts is that thing on a 99 ranger xlt v6 3.0L ? I read on here somewhere it is about 2 hours in labor for them? But someone did it themselves in 30minutes, maybe I could do it, if theres a write up somewhere. Thanks all

Will put pics up maybe tomorrow or next day if I can wash her and make her sparkle.

DON'T take it to a ford stealership unless you are filthy rich. You can save the money on the labor and buy the tools to do it yourself. I don't think a '99 even has a cap or rotor, and the plugs last 100K. Of course, they may have never been changed... I would suggest using motorcraft parts, but you can get them at wally world cheaper. Do the fluids and filters. They can wait until you have a day off... don't rush it and spend huge bucks letting someone else do it. Nice find...

I heard the plugs were a bitch to change on these, well some of them? The thing I mainly want to take it to the dealer is to check that cam synchro thing ive read about.

Ill definately get some pics all around and inside and the engine this coming week. What do you guys reccomend for washing the engine bay? is it safe to spray degreaser engine bay cleaner stuff and spray with hose? Ive never cleaned an engine bay before, I dont want to get water in the wrong spot. anyone able to educate me on this?

So I went to change the title into my name, They're making me and the person i bought it form, if i can get ahold of her. sign a form saying why it was sold ccheap. otherwise I pay taxes on $7800 when I only paid $3200

**** the government, how many times can they tax the same exact thing?

Yeh apparently that is a pretty big issue. I have heard of them saying well Fair value is 7800 so you have to pay taxes on that. Good luck with the new truck. Look forward to seeing some pics. The craigslist add was taken down!

ya the girlfriend is back and Im going to use her camera and post some up, maybe today. I think if I can't get this lady to sign this paper...she lives in a trailer and was talkin about moving because her boyfriend was in jail from beating her. she probably took my cash and split. If im stuck paying taxes on 7800, that means ill pay like $1050. I think its 10.98% auto sales tax or some shit, i could be worng, i hope its lower.
