has anyone swapped out 4 spd to go to a 5 spd behind the 2.8 and what other issues are involed with the swap

sorry to hack this thread dude lol i need same info ill just keep checkin back to it and if u get to it before i do let me kno what u run in to or me before u ill let u kno what happens

no issues if you stay with the same family
of transmission. a tk4 is just a tk5 with
a spacer instead of a gear. a mazda
is longer, so you have to move the mount
and change driveshafts.

yes. just make sure they are
both the same family. tho i once
used the internal parts from a
falcon 3 spd to rebuild a mustang
3 spd. the cases and shift parts
looked quite different, but i used
the best parts from both and
the trans worked like new.

an the slave cylinder mounting is different.

i believe the tk4 is internal, and the tk5 is external.

i have three tk4's, they are external.
