#4 misfire 99 ford ranger 3.0 flex fuel

check engine light is on. did code reader. says #4 is misfiring. changed plugs and wires. still says misfire. ready to do compression test but don't know the psi for #4. 99 ford ranger 3.0 flex fuel can somebody help me

I don't remember exact % but your #4 reading should be within 10% of the rest of the cylinders. You need to do all of them at the same time. Warm up engine. Remove all plugs. Ground sparkplug leads or prevent spark. Block throttle plate open. Then do test.

Or he could just unplug the coil. It wont receive the signal to spark.
