4 LO Shifting problem?

I have a 02 Fx4 ranger with the manual transfer case. It seems that recently it has been hard for me to shift into 4 Lo. I sometimes cannot pull the stick back past neutral, like it gets stuck. It could be a linkage problem (feels rough). How does the linkage adjust? Plus what do y'all think?

If it's like the earlier trucks, loosen the two bolts on the side of the transmission (1 large, 1 small) holding the t-case shifter assembly, and then readjust the shifter gate so that the shifter clicks into all positions (detents) correctly.
