I am interested in how you made your spring and shock mounts. Do you have any more pictures of it before and after completion?

but, is a shiny turd a successful turd?

how does one gauge that?

its a rapid cause of infamous jeep d.w...

good enough for now, but tears up tires still and when the cash is there getting a hi steer knuckle is advisable bud

True it will work for now. If money was abundant, then I would be building a 1 ton ranger.

plan is to cut up a D60 and stuff it in there and high steer that as of now the tires are not wearing all that badly. that being said XJ lift coils are a little soft to run on the street without a sway bar just in case anyone wonders

:) its a balljoint but only ran me $92 so i think i can handle that.

I run mine with no sway bar and Xj lift coils and say that if you arent use to a tippy felling, you will notice it, but it doesnt bother me when I drive mine anymore, I kind like being able to get a rear wheel off the ground and make it cherp.

So now your putting a D60 under her?

yup D60 front and doing a sterling rear. going to swap to a little stiffer coil these are 200PPI going to a 250PPI should still flex well but not lean as bad offroading.

Pic's of how it sits now

Needs the upper links dealt with, driveshaft shortened, new brake pads/rotors (calipers seem fine).

Was at the local upullit today and found a 1999 Ford E350 with I believe a sterling 10.25 or D70 FF and disk brakes (didn't crawl in the mud to check was full float with disks all that matters to me) That will be matching up in the rear for this truck.

fwiw-- the v8 zj steering (grand cherokee) is a major upgrade from the stock d30 stuff.

I have it sitting on my XJ right now. Its a good upgrade over the stock TJ/XJ stuff but it is still weak overall. The D60 will have DOM so it doesn't make to huge a difference anymore.

The tires going on it

Going to sand down and hit the rims with a self etching primer and then black gloss. Got a set of 5 coming (2x~40%, 1x~20%, 2x~0%) also ordered a set of almost perfects.

The other two look like that.

yep.. figured you'd go better this time around! lol was just a statement... its a cheap upgrade if you got a junkyard around.

but its still not DOM!

How is AIMCO for brakes? I don't need anything super high end as long as it works its good enough for me.

These would be the rear disks for the van axle

These would be for the front axle out F350

It (the ZJ steering) has handled 33's on some reasonable trails without bending so its a good bit better than the stocker that I bent on day one. Like you said DOM is were its at. Doing that mounting above instead of below and using 1 ton TRE's. Should do a lot better, looking at hydro assist as well. If money is available, I doubt there will be, but I can always window shop.

Got some junkyard rims and tires for rollers and since I have a similar set of rims on the way I figured I would experiment with these
