I've been on the fence about that and I want to know your opinions on dual pipes on a 4 banger?

Dual tail pipes? Sure if ya like the look go for it.

Well I'm on the fence because I really like the look on rangers but it is a 4 banger and I don't like the ricer sound.

A 4-banger, or a V6 for that matter, doesn't flow enough air that duals will help. Too much pipe will slow down the exhaust velocity and actually hurt power. Just keep a single system and use a turbo muffler. It will be fine and not sound like shit.

if you do duals. do a single in/dual out muffler. with tail pipes no bigger than 2''

:agree:
i replaced my stock muffler with a flowmaster original 40 and the truck has a better exhaust sound. and it might help on engine response a bit :icon_thumby:

Run it strait pipe back to the bed then do a vertical 90 through the bed floor with a 4" pipe and flapper on the top!

<insert drunken hillbilly smiley here>

I think running duals would be fine after the muffler. Don't bother with a Y pipe farther back it's too much work and pointless to run two cylinders to a muffler.

Best way would be a 1 in 2 out muffer. Check out the cheap version of Flowmaster I think it was called Flowtech or something like that.

Nothing like providing video evidence of a crime. lol
