buddy has 91, 1/2 ton with 4.3 chevy needs to check fuel pressure. haven't located shrader valve or anything for gauge. any clues? also what pressure should it be? my book said 18 lbs. sounded low to me. thanks.:icon_confused:

well, i don't know for a 4.3, but a 350 (5.7) only needs 7

It differs between the type of fuel management system. It has no bearing on what engine it is. If the motor is TBI, I would say 18lbs. is probably right. But then again, I don't know dick about the variations 4.3Ls.

the shrader is on the line hidden by some wiring towards the rear of the intake, a few inches before it enters the throttle body. and i think you first turn the key before you start it the fuel pressure is around 45-55 psi, but i cant remember.

the tbi 4.3 only needs about 8-9 psi at the rail.If for some reason he swapped in the 4.3 he's looking at 77psi at the fuel rail.

What misinformation? We knew a grown-up would arrive and show us the path.

If it were a cow instead of a rock it would be better.
