Does anyone know if one could take a 4.2L crank and put it in a 4.0L block?? I have an idea to use it as a stroker crank, but not sure if it'll fit...

I think the 4.2 block is longer than the 4.0.

Yup, completly different engine designs. The 4.0 is a 60 deg v6 and the 4.2 is a 90 deg. Even a good machine shop couldn't make that work.

So much for cheap stroker build...

just go to supersixmotorsports.com they got some shit you might want

John deere is the first one other than myself Ive heard pithc supersix, great site. great people. But hte 4.0 crank and 4.3 crank are not interchangable. The 4.2 motor and 3.8 motor are essentially the same, the 4.2 crank is a great stroker upgrade for the 3.8 but thats it, otherwise the romeo block and our 4.0 blocks are way different. Also connecting rods from the 351w are the same as the rods from 3.8 fitment wise but are also used as a mild stroker upgrade, stronger too.

Supersix has all the info and mods youll need.
