those radars are at spots where the 65 limit goes to 55 and vise versa.so my 33's measured out at 31"s tall=2900 on the chart.i'll have to get a tach and see if my trucks tach is off 200 rpm's at about 3 thousand rpm's.other than that i don't know?
i got a precision gear cross pin like the moser style above with my 4.56 gear set.i don't know if precision makes them in house,i'll have to keep an eye on it and report on how it holds up.SOME of the AFTERMARKET crosspins (Moser) are "notched" with a curved cut
in the middle of the pin.
This would appear to be a superior method and in theory it is......
The problem is that so far ALL of the pins (four of them) I've seen with this
style notch have proven to have been inadequatly heat treated
and have "Galled" on the ends where the spider gears rotate on
the shaft.
I have yet to see any factory pins galled the same way.
AD
The FACTORY crosspins are "Notched" with a flat cut
All this is moot, I've NEVER seen a broken crosspin.
The carrier case or spider gears break first.
