I picked up a set of 4:10 ring and pinion for my 7.5. It currently has 3:73 in it. Anyone know if I can use the 4:10s on the 3:73 carrier? I was told the pin is different.

I would have tried to find a rear end that has the gears you need, saved the trouble of setting up the gears in the carrier.

And if I was going that far, I would try to get a ranger 8.8 with those gears, bit stronger gears and don't have the spider gear issue that the 7.5 is known to have (grenading).

You are only changing your gears by like 10% anyways... Hardly seems worth the effort to put the gears in, especially for a 7.5

Ya I understand. I have looked for a 8.8 with the gears in there. But for now I am goin this route. Using what I have basically. I dont plan any major offroading. Afterall it is a 2.9 with low low miles and I want to get some use out of it. If I come across one reasonable with the gears I need down the road I will up grade.

Right a d35 in front 8.8 rear with 4::56 and bigger tires yet is what I would like to do but for now I will stick with what I have. Maybe I can collect some parts down the road.

Ya I understand what they are saying and I agree with them 100% between not finding what I wanted and a time limit I have just kept moving forward. And I am past that point for now. The diffs are both painted and installed, although the new 4:10 front will need cleaned and painted before I install. I am just triing to finish this so I can drive it. If I took the time to figured out how to do a build thread off my phone I would. Lol. I have hundreds of pics. Thanks for the input guys I do appreciate it. If I do come across an 8.8 with 4:10s before I do the gear change I may go that route
