Ha!. It was in fact the lower intake leaking. It feels good to be right for once and have them cover it under warranty. Not sure if they were just being lazy when they first diagnosed last month or just trying to get more labor costs out of me. While it was apart I told them to go ahead and replace the valve covers (so I am just out the cost of the parts) and give me back the old ones. Too bad I dont have a PS pump ready for them to drop in as well while it is apart. Damn elusive horseshoe bracket!
Question I have is would a leaking lower intake cause my oil gauge to flicker and freak out at times? I am thinking yes and am hoping this fix kills 2 birds with one stone. If not I am getting a Motorcraft sender
