Hey, guys so I did a body lift to my 09 ranger sport this weekend, I drove it for a couple days and it was totally fine. Then yesterday on my way home from ordering my tires and rims, I got a check engine light, I can't figure out why, the truck seems to be running fine, any suggestions my fuel cap is tight I whent over all my connections that I took apart dropping in the body lift thier all good, any help would be great,

Its pointless to start checking stuff without first knowing what the code is.

Take it to a local auto parts store to run the code for free. It may be as simple as something was left disconnected or a sensor burned out.

if you cut your fuel line to put the spacer in, its very possibly a fuel system leak. its hard to get that leak to go away sometimes. Best thing you can do is scan it, you wont know much till you scan it. it could be coincidental that it came on at this point.

Hey, thanks guys for the help, I checked it for codes and I got a code PO442 evaporative emission control leak Detected (small leak) the book says so I guess I'll re check my lines I spliced for the fuel tank.

Problem fixed just a loose hose clamp on the spacer for a the fuel tank.
