4.0l and 2.9 patrs interchangeable

i have a 89 ranger parts truck that i only bought for the box and leafs,but am curious if the tranny will work and starter and tranasfer case and anything reaaly off the 2.9 before i tow it a way any help would be great thanks

Yes, they will fit. However, some things you really don't want. Especially 2.9L Mitsubishi transmissions. 2.9L clutches also aren't sufficient for a 4.0L (and the starter goes with the clutch).
