I was thinking it was leaning out but what would cause it to do that. I don't have any scope or scan tool with live data capability. I replaced my factory spark plugs around 80K along with all the major tune-up parts, with Bosch Platinum+2 (bad idea) replaced them about 90k with autolite. Started having the engine pop but it wasn't to bad just one pop driving up long uphill grades in OD, then about 115k is when it started pooping badly on accelerating so i replaced them again around 125K which are my current ones that are in the truck. The truck now has 153k.
The coloring is good and they all match. They are gaped at .054 (sticker says .052-.056) My plug wires were life warranty so I just swapped them out for the heck of it. The second coil pack came off a friends 4.0L engine that was pulled out of a wrecked ranger. Both Still Ohm to ford spec hot/cold
Ill retest my fuel pressure and check the pump volume this weekend since i wont be working, and ill spray some break cleaner around the heads and see what happens.
