4.0 "Y" pipes

Are the y pipes configured the same for a '94 and a '99 (4.0L engine)? I have trouble with a '99, and have a '94 available for parts.
 
Rip them out and lay them side by side. See what you see.

Not the same.

They will all bolt up to the engine perfectly, the problem is 1994 is an "end" year for the use of the mating flange between the Y-pipe and the Cat. they stayed the same from 1988-94 then changed in 1995.

I'm not sure at what date they changed again, but I doubt it was before '01 when Ford switched to the SOHC engine in the Ranger.

SOHC engines in Explorer's used a unique "dual exhaust" back to the muffler.
