Aight so here is the story. Back in November I stopped to get gas one morning. Drove another 2 miles to work after getting gas. The truck ran just fine. Left work thst evening and when I cranked the truck it was idleing really low..I had to stay on the gas to keep it running. On the 4 mile trip home the truck was sputting trying its best to cut off. I had to really keep the rmps up to keep it from cutting off. That was the last time the truck was on the road. Now it will crsnk on occasion. Some days it will crank right up and other days it justnturns over. Checked all the plugs, they all have spark. Cleaned the maf sensor, havent checked the tps yet..not too sure how to really. Put some gas stabilizer in the tank thinking maybe I got some bad gas. The truck will crank everytime by sprying ether into the intske but as soon as it burns the ether out it cuts right off. Checked all the fuses and they all check out good. Any thoughts? Possibily a bad fuel pump? It just makes no sense why it runs sometimes snd not others. Any help is greatly appreciated! Oh and its a 93 ranger 4.0 2x4 regular cab 5spd

have you checked fuel pressure?

How do you check that?

may be a test port on the fuel rail, borrow a fuel pressure guage from autozone, test with key on engine off. if i remember right should be 35-40?

10 fo...I'll check it out the next day off I have. I appreciate it.
