i have a 95 ranger with a 4.0 and its automatic.i have a dynomax super turbo on it now and im wanting to dual it out and dont kno wht muffler i should get.people are tellin me magnaflow or flowmaster.does anyone have a 4.0 with either.replies are much appreciated.thanks

i love my flowmaster and i was also thinking of doing a dual exhaust, not sure how to make it yet though

yea my first choice is a flowmaster original 40 with single in dual out but i havent heard any 4.0 with it.im just scared of the whole honda civic sound haha

not gonna happen with a v6. flowmaster or magnaflow will sound really nice. just ask wicked_sludge

the only vechicle ive heard with a magnaflow is a v8 mustang.i like how quiet it is on idle but rumbles when u get on it

Flowmasters sound great on my 3.0L, Ive got the Original 40 series American Thunder, and I love the sound, escpecisllaly with 2.5 inch piping, The bigger diameter pipe seems too add to the sound factor a lil bit. I love the low rumble that I get at idle, it sounds really good for a V6, at highway speeds it can get a little loud and annoyin, but other than that, Flowmasters are marvelous mufflers.

yea the original 40 is most likely what im gonna get.prolly gonna price them tomorrow and find a place to do it

i know a guy with a ranger v6 who has no mufflers. he just yed it out after the cats. it sounds pretty good really. and it wasnt super loud either. my explorer has true duals with 12" glasspacks and it sounds like an old flat head at idle. really loud tho. i like it but most prolly wouldnt. :-) got another friend with true duals with 18s. its quieter but the glasspacks are more restrictive than mine. so it sounds a lil different. u want a hi po sound u should get the flow 40. now im prolly gonna get a lecture on cuttin the cats off. lol. jk

personally. id get a thrush glasspack. theyre pretty nice and cheap. back when i had the stock exhaust on, i swapped the muffler for a thrush and it sounded pretty good. u y it off after that and it will do fiine. it shouldnt b too loud either. prolly bout the same as wat mine was.

Here is mine:

True Dual Flowmasters with side exit on a 4.0 - Awesome with a stick . . .

i saw a thread about the thrush welded mufflers sounding exactly like flowmasters.if thats true im goin with them

ive been told flowmaster 40 series origianal, ive actually had a auto part dealer tell me that he prefers magnaflow but told me it would be better off with the flowmaster
