Hey guys, yesterday my lower trans cooling line rotted and blew out. This line runs from the trans cooler to the lower connection of the radiator. I have a repair kit coming in about 30 mins. My question is, can I just throw the new line on with this kit or do I have to bleed something or disconnect the upper inlet tube prior to this installation?

I have the FORD work shop manuals and it doesn't really specify anything but just replacement. I dont want to attach this new line and start the truck ruining something. Any help is appreciated.

No bleeding needed. Put it on, run the truck down the road. When she gets good and hot, check and top off the fluid. The air that does get in there will just get pushed back to the pan as the trans fluid flows. It's more like engine oil than coolant or brake fluid.
