i got a 2.9 out of a b2 in a xlt ranger 5speed, getting the 4.0sohc from a explorer along with front and rear axles. how hard is the swap and what needs to be changed? motor mounts? brackets?
I swapped the older version 4.0 engine, all I had to do was splice the oil pump connector from the other harness, but with different engine size you need to switch out all the sensors and ecm
good to know getting some hard rain here right now so ima go out and attempt to blow this 2.9 up then start on the swap LOL, 2.9 has 183k on it. ticks like a mofo and smokes badly to.
