OK, so I am have two major issues with my 4.0 swap.

1) The Hedman header set will not line up. The headers themselves go on just fine, but no matter what I do the Y-pipe will not mate up to both headers at the same time. It is off by about 1/4 the width of the ball, with two sets.

2) Wiring. Something is not right with my wiring. I sat down with the books and the meter and meticulously labeled, traced, and connected everything. Nothing works. Even jumped I can't make the headlights come on. Weirder yet my meter tells me that my battery which I know is just about shot has 13.5V. All constant voltage wires have 13.5V, all grounds read 10.5V, and all switched powers (headlights, etc) read 1.12 after the switch, but all my continuities are 1.5 ohm or less.

If you're using a digital meter, the battery could be low causing something weird to happen inside. Or it could just be poorly calibrated from the factory. (Would seem like it'd have to be a VERY poorly made one to be far off though.) On the ohms reading, I know my multimeter will actually show a resistance for me if I touch the probes when trying to test a connection.

As for the headers, seems like I read something about that here before....
Maybe a little bending of the y-pipe?

Wait-a-minute. How did you get the 10.5 reading on the grounds? There is voltage on your ground circuit?

Edit: The 1.12 is pretty close to the difference between the reading on the power and the ground. I bet your missing a ground somewhere.

I would check the meter on another car/truck.

Once meter is sorted out, disconnect the alternator wires, they can through off readings.
Then pull all the fuses inside and out
Start checking voltages as you add fuses back, it actually doesn't take that long
