Hello

Let it run for a bit for the computer to relearn. I just did my 5.0l stang last week and it took 15-20 minutes to smooth out.

:agree:

just after winter my truck ran like a**, replaced just about every sensor, it still ran like crap, took it down the road, ran it for about a half hour, it relearned everything and has ran great since then

ive tried all that it still runns like crap it ran for about an hr in the driveway right after i did the swap so i could get all of the air out of the cooling system and when i took it down the road it didnt want to run at all i came home started checking everything and decided to pull the air cleaner/ intake tubes off and it ran great but as soon as i hook the maf and the air intake tube back up it begins to idle rough and miss fire.

have you cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner, that might help, mabey some dirt or other crap wound up on the 'filament' in there

ive cleaned it with break clean, which is the same thing ive always cleaned it with but dont you think the check engine light would be on if the maf was dirty/bad?

Dave do you have a scanner to read what the computer sees from the MAF? I have fought sarahs explorer and MAFs from day one. Seems i can't get more then 6 months on a MAF on her truck. I gave up on new ones, now i just hit the u-pull-it and snag one.

what i dont understand is my truck runs like a champ without it hooked up. before when it wasnt hooked it up runs like it does now when it is hooked up.

miss an engine ground? hooking the MAf up is sending mixed signals back to the ecm because of it?

the driver's side head to the fire wall.
