4.0 rebuild

hey guys iam in the process of rebuilding my 95 4.0 motor.. we finished stripping it down to a bare block sunday.. well yesterday i ordered up rings, bearings, gaskets a comp cam 410 cam, new smith brothers pushrods. i droped my heads off to have them checked for cracks and they both do! the shop said he could get me new rebuilt ones for 600.. i was looking on ebay and came across these for 340 SHIPPED... i didnt think that was a bad deal.. what do you guys think about them?

take it to at least one more shop before you take there word for it.

he Showed me the cracks... so they are toast.

i just called that shop an the guy said they would fit With out a problem.. so guess thats the route iam going and save myself some cash

I would be careful with that.

The head change was in 95'. The years they list are incorrect. If you are running deeper dish pistons with a larger early chamber, your compression drops.

Actually, most prefer to run the later heads (95' up) with the early blocks with less of a dish to obtain a higher compression ratio.
