i am buy'n a ranger with no engine but had a 2.3 im debating the 2.3 turbo but was wondering if i would be better off with a 4.0? it has the trani and all the wiring still intack would i be better off to go turbo?

I would recommend a turbo 2.3 or 2.5 over a v6 any day...unless you're using it to tow a boat or trailer...then you might want the v6...

its a 92 i want gas mileage and power

With a turbo Lima, you have both. it's only a matter of letting the engine rev. If you dont want to use gas, keep your foot out of it and it will run just like a 4 cyl. However, stick your foot into it and get some rpm into her. You'll have gobs of HP/TQ then.

run a stock SVT engine, you cant go wrong. Once I went boost a few years ago, I cant get away from them. Of course, I dont have the turbo truck anymore... but my race car's sure use them. :)
