4.0 OHV worth anything?

I'm going to swap a v8 into my 1990 ext cab. Pulling the stock 4.0. Stock motor and trans is in great shape, 150k on it. Is the motor and trans worth anything, or should i just haul it to the scrapyard?

Depends where you are and which transmission it is.

I'd say its worth something if it's good.
I know a guy locally that sold one that was not a rebuild but was a good motor with about 80,000 miles on it for $280 with trans.

it really just depends on if you find someone that wants it. Personally, I'd like to have a spare 4.0; but with Pull A Part so close, I'll go there and get one for $100 complete.

You just gotta find someone that needs what you have to sell.

I'll pay you $20 for all the sensors. those won't change much for scrap value anyways.

good motor, trans and T-case would bring about $750 up here

I figured it wasn't worth anything. I would have tried to build it up, but the aftermarket parts are way over priced for it. When i pull it, i'll contact some of you guys that posted looking for misc parts off it before it gets scrapped.
