Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I need to ask. I have a 97 long bed Ranger reg cab, and I need a new exhaust from just before the first cat and don’t want to do any welding. What years/ vehicles could I use as a donor? Will an old f150/explorer work? There’s tons of explorers around my area but not many rangers so I gotta figure something out. Thanks everyone

Rock auto has the complete kit new for $102.79 from Walker. Here's a link they have, that gives you all the Walker part numbers. You can plug these numbers into a google search and see if anyone else has the parts individually cheaper.

@Theroux1113 ,
The exhaust from a 2014-2017 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Unit (PIU) is a dual 2" system. It will need some adjustments to the layout but all the connections can be made with butt-joint 3" stainless steel band clamps, 2" to 2" connectors (no welding).

The Explorer PIU exhaust will yield a dual-in/dual-out 24" resonator, dual 14" mufflers with tips and enough or very close to enough 2" mandrel bent tubing for a complete Ranger 2" dual exhaust; the yard near me charged $60 for the entire exhaust.

That looks like front wheel drive stuff. What do you do about the driveshaft on a conventional older driveline?

@franklin2 ,
The 2014-2017 Explorer PIU is transverse engine all wheel drive; like I suggested, it will require some alteration but the parts complement will cover a Ranger's needs and for next to nothing cost. Unfortunately, each cut will require a butt type band clamp.

It is what I'm currently using to build the exhaust for my 87 BroncoII, 94 OHV 4.0l into true 2" duals. The exhaust channel on the 1997 Ranger is actually much bigger (longer) than the BII's, it will work and much easier to fit in. Not all the parts are needed...THIS IS NOT A BOLT-ON KIT 😉
