I have a 94 Ford Ranger 4x4 manual tran and the earlier owner swapped a new 4.0 in from an explorer automatic, my code reader shows that the auto tranny is in park during testing when in fact it is in nuetral, do i need an ecm for a manual explorer or for a manual ranger? And are there any other problems it might be causing, my check engine light has come on for some time, but just recently has it not passed emissions, so is there problems that the engine swap is causing, not to mention bad gas mileage, but that comes when you have 35 inch tires. Also i never thought of this but do i need plugs and wires for an explorer 4.0 or can i just get the 94 ranger parts.
