:icon_thumby:has anyone done this? i couldnt think of what words to use in a search...
I want to put coils from an 4.0 ext cab in my reg cab short box 2.3 just to level it off a bit, it looks like its sitting low and there isnt much room between the axle and the stops. im not worried about the ride being a rougher, im just tired of hitting those bump stops. i'd like to see about 2" does that seem reasonable from 18 years of sag? Thanks

You may see a slight height increase with the 4.0 coils, maybe some from an exploder or S/C.... The ride will be stiffer, but alot better than hitting the bump stop.

I have a few washers under mine now. Yes, washers can be used as a safe effective coil spacer. Remenber though.....the TTB has a 1:1.5 lift effect.....meaning that a 1" spacer will lift roughly 1.5".

Now that being said...an alignment may/will be needed after you add either the coils and/or the spacers.....

As for coils...PM sent.

FWIW the coils in my dads 89 2.3 4x4 are slightly thicker/stiffer than the ones in my B2.
