Nothing is swappable between the two.

Hardly anything is swappable with engines in it's same family...

Best best would be to get a charger made for a 4.0L. I haven't heard many good things about the stock S/Cs on the 3.8L, but I've never owned one either.

i think the 3.8 was a 90 degree motor, possibly a 302 bore and stroke wise. (like the g.m. 4.3 is a 350 v8 les the back 2 cylinders) ive not seen them though, only heard about them.

aight i was jw wonderin... i found a super coupe i could get pretty cheap cause its got a blown head gasket but thats all i wanted was the charger... anyways...

what about the bellhousin, would my transmission bolt up to a 3.8? i could change the whole motor?

3.8 shares same bellhousing bolt pattern as 302.. and 351w & 351C?

I've got both a 3.8 and a 4.2....They are in the same family...90* With a 302 bolt pattern.

Nothing in common with a Cologne v6.

The 3.8 has slowly developed a taste for antifreeze. That vehicle was replaced with a 07 taurus that is getting about 25mpg...whereas the Windstar was lucky to get 17-18. Oh...and I KNOW the 3.0 will hold up!:icon_thumby:
