Did some tinkering on the truck today. Turns out my ball joints are still solid, so that's a plus. I put a new dust boot on my TRE, cleaned/lubed my brakes, rotated tires, and greased every joint on the truck.

I still think my alignment is out of whack. I need to get that taken care of then I can start think about building again.

Poly bushing split? Going to replace it with the same or something else?


Adam is planning a trip over to BL again in October, I need to call him to find out if it was the weekend of the 2nd (like he told me a long time ago, there's a TREC race that night) or the following weekend. Either way, you game?

I need to completely go over and grease my truck too, wouldn't mind getting that bumpstop and limiting straps installed. Probably be a good idea to repack wheel bearings too.

I'm pretty sure it's split. It's a 2 piece design, and one of the halves is split longitudinally if you will. Not sure what caused it. I'll probably replace it with the same, since I know it will fit, and I'm too lazy to research something else at the moment haha.

I should be down for an Oct trip. Keep me posted. We'll see how things are goin.

What's the bushing width?


Here's your information on the October trip:
October 1-3. The TREC and KOH qualifying is Saturday night. I'm thinking about driving over fairly early on Friday and wheeling for a while Friday, camping, wheeling Saturday, watching the race, camping Saturday night, then packing up and leaving Sunday morning. The girls said they would like to come over Friday with us, but have a wedding or something Saturday night they wanted to go to. Adam called and told me that he had reserved site 22, I reserved site 21.

Pretty sure I just got the 2.5" mounting width vs the 3.00".



I'll plan on the Oct trip. I won't be able to make it over early Fri, but I may be OK with packing up early on Sunday. I'm sure I'll have plenty to keep me occupied for the remainder of the weekend.

I guess $12 for the replacement buching isn't terrible then, it's just the matter of shipping time and replacement labor.

I was just thinking heading over Friday would be something different, it'll probably be packed that weekend, so it might be nice to get there before everyone else does.

Yeah that's cool. I'm sure its awesome on a weekday. Far less people. Like you said it's gonna be pretty cowded that weekend I'm sure. I'd truck on over Fri with you guys but I've got senior design smack dab in the middle of the day (2-4p) so that puts a hinderance on any Friday wheelin for me.
