My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
If I am using a 4 gauge charge cable with a 200a mega fuse, then why do I need to use the original pair of black/red stripe fusible linked wires? Don’t they both run to the battery side of the starter solenoid?

You wouldn't need the twin cables with fusible links with a 4ga and 200amp fuse to replace them.

Yes they run from alternator B+ to battery positive, which can be the starter relay post with positive battery cable connected to it.

You still need the Yellow voltage regulator wire and the green Battery Light wire attached

Thank you, finished it today. The only thing I kept from the original harness was the green wire. Wired it yellow to charging stud and white to stator plug and green to where ever that wire goes. Got 95a at idle and 14.7v. Now I can run my headlights, wipers, and defroster at the same time.

Why would you ever need wipers, head lights, and defrost all at the same time?

You kids and your power-hogging luxuries.

Green wire goes to the instrument cluster, Battery Light

Good work

No heated seats????

"No heated seats????"

They don't take electricity. Think vinyl seats and sunshine. We had heated seats when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's

The only seat heaters I have is my fat native Oregonian ass. But being able to have the lights, wipers, heater, and stereo all going at the same time is nice.
