It is really hard to get them to stay in front, try pulling them it is much easier!

I have 30's on 4.10's and it is ok but slightly guttless on big hills.
"For me" that is the limit on 4.10's I think you will be really disappointed with the performance on and off road. If the looks make up for that then go for it, and plan on wheel bearing service often if only street and even more often if off road...

crap man i got 2.73s in my 2wd with a 4 banger auto, cruising on some 53" iroks. I stacked some oak blocks between the body and frame for clearance. The TB spacer and CAI really gave me all kinds of power. Im saving up for an electric supercharger...but i think my neighbour is going to donate me his leaf blower I just gotta buy some abs pipe for the ducting. Should be sweet

Dude with a 2.9, 35s and probably 3.73s you're gonna be in 3rd gear on the highway, and your clutch won't last long. Not to mention you'll probably get 10 mpg.

Alright, there are two ways to go about this, if you plan on wheeling the truck and that is going to be the only use, then spend the money and do it right. If you are wheeling it, you want low gears, and to build a strong drive train. If the purpose for your truck is to drive on the street and be a pavement queen, spend the money and do it right. If you are wanting to put 35's on just so that you can look cool, dont waste your time.

Putting 35's under a truck is not something anyone should be doing half assed. If you have a reason for doing, make sure you research and do it right, you will be so much happier with the final product (well until you decide to change it again). I have a lot of years into buying specific parts for my truck and I am finally ready to do my build (well almost ready).

I hope I am not sounding like too big of an ass, it is not my intention, its just that there is a lot more to it than tire size.

i have a '89 with a 2.9 and 35s and 4.56s and it goes just fine, can spin 'em on dry pavement. only for a little while though, too afraid of breaking something else!!

you must be running something beside a 4.0L, i have 3.73 gears and 31" mudd terrains and go just fine everywhere , hell the stock size on my ranger is 31's right on the door says, 265 for tire size, 4.10 gears would be great for 33's but i dont think quite enough for 35's.
