i was referring to what was happening to others in regards to what broke the block most. the 302 wins that race.

though, as Walt indicated...these are engines being sprayed to the power levels needed and take outs.back then it was the cheapest way to go by far for a ford .

In this case carbureted doesn't really mean simple...

Because your truck is going to expect to see things from the engine that your carbureted engine won't tell it. You can do it but it is not common because it is a big PITA.

Snag a EVTM off ebay for your year of truck and figure out the mess of wiring you will have to deal with.

The computers getting ripped out and the fuel pump will run off main power relay. I just need to move a ground.
