I just bought some 33x12.5x15 mud kings and they are amazing in the mud and sand an also on the pavement they are way quieter than a TSL. My buddy has a set of 34x10.5 TSL and my mud king will walk all over them in the mud and on road.:icon_hornsup:

Thats what alot of people run around here cuz its a cheap tire that can be found everywhere....they do pretty good out here until you get in that clay mud then they just turn into racing slicks

ya i run in a lot of rocks and beaver pond type terrain so they seem to do fairly decent.

Your buddy must have TSL Thornbirds, or his tires were worn or aired up way higher than yours.

I have never seen any tire "walk all over" a TSL Swamper or Bogger when it comes to mud...

I have, but you wouldnt take tractor tires down the highway.... Ive seen teh mudkings I wasnt to impressed to be honest just a cheap mud terrain tire nothing fancy about it.

NOPE HE HAS A SET OF 34x10.5 TSL not Thornbirds or Boggers and they have a lot of thread same amount as my Mud Kings. My buddies TSL are on a 94 Toyota 3.0 and my Mud Kings are on a 1992 ranger 2.9. They are very comparable. I was impressed by them.

I'm referring to DOT approved tires.

I'm sure Mud Kings are a good tire, but I just don't see them running circles around Swampers.

Same here, especially since I have gone from a 35" MT to a 36" TSL/SX.

I'll never go back to a radial tire again.

Mud Kings 4 10 Years

:headbang:NO OTHER TIRE HAS BEEN ON MY 97 RANGER BUT THE MUD KING SOME PEOPLE CALL THEM CHEAP AND ALL BUT THEY ARE ALMOST THE SAME TREAD PATTERN AS THE BFG MUD TIRE IF YOUR MUD KINGS DONT LAST IT'S BECAUSE PEOPLE DONT CHECK AIR PRESSURE ENOUGH, ROTATE ALOT, AND KEEP UP ON BALLJOINTS,ALIGNMENTS,U-JOINTS ETC.... ALL MY FRIENDS HAVE SWITCHED TO THEM ALSO:headbang:

I have to admit, I ran a set of 33x12.50 Mud Kings on my Jeep CJ7...:icon_surprised:... that I had a couple years ago. For a radial tire, they actually did pretty well. Other than being radials, the only thing I didn't like about them was in sticky mud they turned into slicks.

I personally prefer bias-ply Swampers for what I do, but overall the Mud King radials are a good tire.

Even with tractor tires, different makes/models do differently in different kinds of soil. What works in the black dirt or Iowa, may not work worth a hoot in the sands of western Nebraska, or the red whatever you call it in Missouri. I would assume that the same would apply to truck tires, what is surpreme in one area may very well be the scorn of another.

Interco doesn't make 34x10.5r15 TSL's. They make an LTB in that size and also make a "narrow SS" in 34x9.5r15. I know there's a 33x10.5r15 TSL radial available, but not a 34". Either way I'm glad you like your new tires.

I'm running 29x8.5r15 TSL radials on my otherwise stock 2wd Mazda and absolutely love them. They kick royal ass in the mud and dirt and actually handle pretty well on the pavement for being such an aggressive tire. They are wearing quite well, too.

All I know is that the tire says 34x10.5x15 Interco super swamper TSL. Their an older tire. Their not an LTB just a TSL.

Those two rigs are the true variable, not the tires.

A buddy of mine used to run 33x12.50 Mud Kings on his BII, after switching to a 34x10.50 LTB, it was night and day difference.
