I've got 33 x 12.5 on a 15x8 with a 3.75 backspacing. I've got 3" lift in back and about 3-4" in front. That barely clears them. To drive without rubbing in front I had to trim a little fender off the back part. I think 4" suspension lift with 3" body would do well, or 6" suspension and 2" body. Or you can be like me and do 4" suspension w/ minor trimming and a whole 1" of flex.
I just bought that size tire BFG all-terrian and I have a 4in. lift on a 97 Ranger SC. Tha Back rubs slightly under extreme articulation and the front is fine (but I cut off 4in. of the bumper on each side.
