33's and D28?

for the type of wheeling you will be doing the d28 will hold up fine. I run the same setup and same gears, open carriers on my b2 and havent broke it. I dont wheel it too hard but i still have gotten the front end off the ground. I run soft coils up front so that helps alot on axle stress.

How stiff are the coils that come with the Tuff Country lift? I'd like to go with softer coils. I have a set off an '85 F150 that I could also use...

those tuff country springs are stiff, sell them and go with sky jacker, james duff, or early bronco springs late 60s / early 70s.

I can't keep a 28 together with 235's and a 3.0! You guys need to tell me what I'm doing wrong! I never had a problem with the 2.8 and 265's.
