I have a stock 99 ranger xlt ext. cab and I'm wanting to do a little work to it and a friend told me that with a 3" body lift i could fit 33x12.50's and i was wondering if this is true...

thanks for any advice

thanks, yeah i just wanted to make sure theyd fit before i forked out the cash for the wheels and tires. Im prob. gunna try to crank the t bars enough to get 2", but some people have told me to not go over a 1.5".

I'm also looking for the best way to make a more wider look for my ranger. I'm not really wanting to go with wheel spacers just because of the stories of tires coming off while going full speed on the interstate; so any pointers in that department?

thanks again

Yeah i might opt for the wider wheels and tires, i just ordered my 3" pa body lift so now i just gotta figure out what size wheels and tires, i was gunna just go with 33"x12.50" but if someone has a better idea of what i should do wheel/tire wise then by all means let me know. Also if anyone could post some pictures in this thread so i can get an idea of what I'll be looking at when im finished, thatd be great....thanks

I would go with the 33/12.50's on 15x10 wheels if it's a DD. There are tons of pics to be found on here with a little bit of searching.

i was looking at some pics and i saw some 33"x14.50"s that gave a real wide look and was wonderin if id be able to fit those under my truck with the tbars cranked a little bit and the 3" body lift i order

You might run into some rubbing problems with a 14.50 but nothing major with the BL and T-bar crank.

im willing to go either way, the 12.50"s or the 14.50"s, i do a little bit of offroading but nothing major and i dunno if the 14.50"s would be to wide, id be happy with either size although i do pull for the wider look but if it'll be more trouble than its worth ill just stick with the the 12.50"s, any opinions of which way i should go?

go with the 12.5's, youd likely have rubbing issues with the wider tires but no real advantages. as for wheels, i'd go with 15x8's with 3.75" of backspacing. should give you the amount of width youre looking for without being excessive.

thanks, yeah ive decided to go with the 33"x12.50"s thanks for all the advice, and any advice on where to get some nice wheels, i was looking at some Cragar black soft 8s on Jegs but does anyone have any advice on some nice black wheels for cheap to decent price?

thanks in advance

I have a 98 4x4. I went with 15x12's wrapped in 35x12.50 BFG KM2 rubber.

All i have is a 3" body lift and torsion bars cranked. I'm still waitin on my new T-bars to come in. One side of mine was bottomed out. I reckon ranger lean. So I got the code 1 T-bars. When I get em I'll post a pic for ya.
