I just bought some 33s (285/75R/16) bf goodrich km2s and have 30s on my truck now. I have a ranger edge 2wd with a 4 inch lift. It has a 3.0 automatic with 4.11 gears. It also has a super chips pro gramer. My question here is am i going to have a hard time turnin these. Also am i going to lose my mpg are will it go up? My mpg went up when i went from the stock tires to 30s. I think i have enough clearance.

Your mileage will go down. You'll notice it around town and going up hills trying to maintain speed.

I am in the same boat but I have not purchased the tire yet.
I was thinking the RCD 5.5" Lift when available; I would think on your truck without an additional lift, either more suspension or BL, then there will be some hitting.
What is the ply rating of these tire, I have been told 6 ply, that is heavy and may be good off road mud but how about the rocks and what about a good ride on the street where I will be most of the time ?

Make sure to let the forum know how this turns out.

Thanks,

So far there great on the street, havent took em off road yet, they only rub a little bit with full wheel lock, i definatly need gears its not to quick right now but i wanted a locker anyway. I like the tires so far. The ride is a little rougher but im going to let some more air out. I think there 10 ply but i could be wrong.

What wheel, diameter/width/back spacing are you using ?

Sorry for the questions but I am trying to determine where I want to go with rims/suspension/tire-wheel combo, your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

No problem, i have the stock 16 inch fx4 ranger wheels on the truck, im not sure what the back spacing is on there.

Not sure on the BS on OEM Wheels but getting a 16 x 8 aftr mkt wheels with <4" BS seems to be a problem so far.

I can't buy the wheels or tire (whatever ones I end up with) until RCD decides if they are going to or not, to build more of their 5.5" kits.

Thanks and ltr,

suzuki14258,

Have you put them on the truck yet ?

How's it working out ?

How's the ride... ?

Yes they are on, got a chance to really test em out the past few days, they grip amazing in the rain, they tread water really well, they do very well in the mud, the ride is a little rougher, i only have tire rub at full wheel lock, as far as maxing out the wheel travel they do not rub but i have 4 inch lift. Also im gona need gears. But overall i really like them.

Thats 4" lift and 33s? The back of the front fender loose ultra close to rubbing in that last picture.

Unless they're bigger than 33s that looks weird compared to mine. i have cranked tbars and 3" spindles and have tons more clearance up front with 33s

Look good.

Let us know in a while how the ride is holding up.
You said a little rough, work them some and maybe they will ride a little better, here's hoping.

Mine is a DD more than off road so I need a decent ride.

My torsion bars are cranked all the way, and i have a 4 inch block on the rear. There close on the front but they dont hit. Something rubs when you turn the wheel all the way though, but you can frame twist it and nothing touches.

suzuki14258,

To chg the subj a little, what frt bumper are you running ?
