31s?

on my old 88 they did with trimming and this 88 is a high rider .

I had 31's on my old BII (they measured out at like 30.5), they fit with very minor rubbing offroad, I only had the back wheel opening trimmed a bit (to get rid of rust, not for tire clearance, but I'm sure it helped)

235's filled my wheelwells pretty well when mine was stock, alot of it depends on how many miles are on the truck and what kind of shape your springs are in. After 20+ years some trucks sit higher than others.

I just put a 2" lift in my truck with 31x10.5 on 15x7.5 stock rims.

Skyjacker coils in the front (2") and belltech shackles in the rear. I rub in the front very slightly at full turn on flat ground. No flexed info as I need new shocks still (mine are maxed). That's a picture of my truck the day after install, springs haven't settled yet. It's an 88 4x4 with a 2.9.

At static ride height on flat ground I measured 3-1/2" clearance from top of tire to fender lip in the front, 3-1/4" in the rear. I'll be trimming my fenders back an inch or so (to the first bodyline around the wells), an extra inch or so probably would have saved me this trouble.
