do i need different than stock gears if i put 30s on my 2000 ranger? if so what would you suggest and an approximate price to get it done would be nice too. thanks!
You'll want any one of 4.10:1, 4.30:1 (2WD only) or 4.56:1 with 30" tires on a 3.0L (go toward a lower number for highway driving (MPG), higher number if you want more torque for towing/acceleration, etc).
Cost usually runs around $500-700 per axle for all parts & labor at most shops.
i appreciate all yalls help. i will do all that when i get home...im getting ready to come home from iraq and need to know what i need to get done for my ranger to fit the parts i already bought. when i put it all together i will put up some pictures...it will be about a month then you should see some pictures
