does anyone know if i do a 302 conversion with my 88 ranger if i will have to swap out my rear end too i know i need to change my transmission transfer case and drive shaft just need to know if anyone has done this and if they had to change the rear end

You wont HAVE to,run it till it breaks.
It will depend on how heavy your right foot is.

My first V-8 swap was a pretty stout motor and the 7.5 held up fine. And I did NOT take it easy on that truck. Go ahead and get some high quality u-joints though.

To be safe put an 8.8 in it.

Unless you are launching your truck at high RPMs you won't have any problems.
