I am going to take the plunge and fit my 92 Ranger stnd cab with a 73 302 engine. The motor is rebuilt with a c-4 transmission. The motor is out of a 73 f-150 and I was planning on using the carb and electronic ignition that was factory on the 73 F-150. my question is wiring. Would it be simplest to use the engine wiring harness from the 73 F-150 and tap into the junction block at the firewall? I am trying to keep the install clean with less clutter under the hood. I was hoping to use the kiss method (keep it simple stupid). I went through the tech library and couldn't find much on wiring this type of application. I have engine mounts from a 95 mustang and not sure about the transmission cross member yet as to what I may need to make or modify.
