I found a fuel injected 302 from a 1985 Crown Victoria, with tranny (not sure what tranny, it just says 3 speed auto). Based on this little information, how compatible would it be to a 92 Ranger that currently has a 2.9L and auto A4LD, 4X4? Thanks

it depends on what you are wanting to be compatable. obviously you want to put the 5.0 in your ranger and keep it 4x4... that being said, neither transmission will work, well, you might be able to keep the C.V. trans, it SHOULD be a c-4, maybe a c-6... but an adapter would be needed as well as a new outputshaft (have to disassemble the trans to swap). OR... i happen to have a fresh built c-4 from my BII with the proper bellhousing, and a c-5 output section (so it will bolt upto the stock transfercase)... still works perfectly, i took it out when i went with the NP435/NP205. for sale!
