302 build question

I have a 1983 ranger that I'm putting a 302 in. I wanted to put a 5 speed automatic behind it the 302 is from a 77 f150 custom. Is it possible? Is there one out there that is not controlled by a pcm?



Sorry forgot to mention the trans need to be for a 4 wheel drive

you would have to adapt that to a old school sbf.

Is there any that don't need to be controlled by a pcm if not can u recommend a solid 4 speed I'm looking to use this for a muddin truck and on road

mild build aod work pretty good.


buy a controller for the 4r70w and they work real good.

if you build big power the e40d can be built real good too.
