Found a 91 Explorer for 300. Tranny is good but they blew a freeze plug and it overheats.

Good deal? I'm looking for a parts truck for my BII to get the 4 liter swap done.

I'd bet it has a bad head or head gasket...unless you have actually seen the freeze plug missing/damaged, it's a typical seller's excuse for one of the above or "I have no idea what is ACTUALLY wrong with it."

$300 isn't bad, assuming you don't need the engine. Only slightly more than it is worth as scrap weight around here.
