Hey thanks for the comments
I haven't had a chance to do much wheelin yet so I can't say too much about the BDS lift. It's a good height though. The wife still wants me to get a step bar... but we'll see if I cave and get her one. Might just throw a milk crate in the box for her lol
I have lots of plans for this truck. Prolly eventually a 5.0L down the road when the 4.0L craps out (or I beat it to death). Got a matching canopy at home but that will go on when the snow comes and I need the extra weight. Haven't touched the gears yet, will prolly upgrade when I get bigger tires. Yep, you were right, the tires are 33"/10.50/R15 BFG M/Ts. I really liked the look of the stock alloys so I didn't upgrade them. Not sure if I could've gone with a 11.50 or bigger on the stock rims, but 10.50 suits the truck just fine. When the truck eventually becomes my 100% offroad truck I'm planning on swapping them out for wider 33" TSLs.
So you suggest I take the shock boots off, eh?? Might do. But is that a real problem getting dirt and crap stuck in there? Never experienced that before.
The K&N added a bit of power... even though most say that it doesn't do a whole lot. But I think it did for sure. Gives off a much lower tone as well. Works well with the Flowmaster 40 series I got on it. The only problem I found was with the MAF. It doesn't like filters with oil, and messes with the sensor. I sometimes have a rough idle, and sometimes wants to stall between shifts when downshifting. Still have to sort that out. Will probably also add a bigger throttle body.
