3 plug wire?

hey guys im building another ranger and bought a 302 for it today, the distributor has a 3 plug wire coming out of itm what exacly is this for? the early bronco it was in had this wired plaugged into a harness, so im wondering is this the ignition on inout for the ditributo is it just for a tac? and where can i find that harness?

I'd be willing to bet its ignition that goes to the duraspark, but post up pics if you can...

i think you right, i just found a wiring diagram and it looks like that goes to the ignition module, i think im just going to do with the hei style dizzy to make my life easier

The 1 wire HEI works great if you have the room just make sure the cam gear matches your cam.

To match up the cam gears i can just match the hei gear to the one im taking out correct?

If you look at the cam gear on the old dizzy if the ends are machined the cam is a steel cam it the ends have a rough cast look then you have a iron cam. Take note of that when buying the hei dizzy.
