3.o heads

are there any differences between the right and left heads. just got the heads back from the machine shop and i forgot to mark them they have different numbers on them but i can't tell the difference

I can say with 99.9% certainty that they ARE the same, to wit:

1) If you go to any website that sells these heads, they stock only ONE part #, NO mention of left/right;

2) Chilton's on CD, engine rebuild chapter, makes no mention of any left/right difference;

3) Ford engineers would be under intense pressure to make each head IDENTICAL, as this saves beau coup $$, from casting to machining to stocking to cataloging, the entire supply chain becomes twice as efficient.


PS: are your heads "nekkid", or do they have the guides, valves, etc. already installed and gapped?

the heads are the same
