www.wheelsnparts.com has a 3 inch lift torsion key setup along with either 1 or 2 inch lift shackles. Im going to order the torsion key and either 1 or 2 inch shackles. If I get an add-a-leaf from www.fatbobsgarage.com (1.5-2.5 in lift) and a 2 inch lift shackle, will it hurt if the back is lifted 3.5-4.5 inches and the front is lifted 3 inches?
Thanks in advance.

IF you do a 2" chevy drop shackle and AAL, you'd be right at 3-4" of lift in the rear. IMO...stay away from torsion keys...they do the same thing as cranking your t-bars. You are better off getting a Superlift for up front to level the truck out. Superlift 4" up front, and rear AAL and 2" chevy drop shackle is my set up and it's completely level...

Torsion keys are a joke my buddy put them on his s10 and it bottomed the control arms out.

Like I keep telling people, all you are really doing is adjusting the suspension downward. The control arms only have so much travel.

Late-models are cheap to lift a little and expensive to lift a lot. It is what it is.

If you want 3" and don't want to spend a lot of money or make it ride uber-hard and muck up your ball joints and CV's, get a body lift.

Where do you plan on being with the truck ?

How high, tire size you will be running, what do you want out of the truck ?

These are things you need to address ahead of time to keep you from buying either too much or too little.

Think about the final lift wanted and the tire size (which could result in new gearing in the diffs), then think about how to get there and the ride quality you want.

All has been said before you will need to spend more than you planned on, believe me...

I like to plan and talk about a move before I do it.

luck,

If I get a 3 inch body lift from performance accessories, would i need to do any trimming to fit a 31 inch tire without rubbing?

No. 31's should fit without any lift at all actually.
