i was wondering if any one had done this swap or knew anything about it i'm thinking about attemting it in my 96 splash but want to do alot of research first:icon_thumby:

I considered doing it at one time. I have a '92 SC and a '93 XLT. I believe I was able to find information on putting a 3.8 in a Ranger but nothing on a supercharged 3.8. You would have to do all the plumbing custom. The Tbird radiator and intercooler will not fit without major work. It would probably be easier (but more expensive) to use aftermarket radiator and intercooler.

Do you want to do this for power, or for "cool factor"?

The problem with the the 3.8L SC engine is that it's pointless. That particular blower adds about 18 HP and has a parasitic drag of around 5. So a net of only 13 horse, plus you still have to deal with the fact that 3.8s warp heads.

If you want to do it for power look into a 5.0 instead.
